On July 31 th, the "Software Defined Radio" Summer Course come to an end with a great success. Students in this experimental course have deeper understanding of digital and analog wireless communication systems , e.g. FM modem and QAM transceiver, which are implemented on USRP.
We have successfully completed i-WiN-C2 summer course!
The course is greatly supported and directed by Prof. Xinping Guan, who gave 4 main suggestions and expectation to the young students. He appealed to the students to focus on the combination of control and communication, as CPS is a promising research area where improvements can greatly change our daily life. "Young people should face the future and dare to challenge, " as he said. Prof. Cailian Chen and Dr. Yiyin Wang supervised all the lessons, and marked students with the instructor Li'an Li at the last lesson.
Yafei Huang, one of the graduated students, gains a lot when the course is completed:"I am greatly benefited from this experience, not only because of the basic knowledge of the theory and software I learnt, but also the closer relationship with my classmates." Indeed, the course is full of joy and happiness. With fruits and desserts every time, students communicated freely in a relaxed environment. They helped each other to debug the codes, exchanged their ideas, and explored the world of LABVIEW and USRP together. "Food, drink, knowledge. Joyful time." Said Chaofeng He, a PhD student who graduated from this summer course successfully.
